This is the official website for CHAMP at the University of Chicago. CHAMP is an educational program designed to train non-geriatrician clinical educators to become more adept at teaching geriatric topics and covering the ACGME core competencies in the inpatient setting. Adaptable to doctors, doctors in training, advanced practice nurses and others who care for hospitalized older adults, the CHAMP faculty development course at the University of Chicago resulted in increased geriatric teaching and improved clinical health outcomes during its implementation from 2003 - 2007.
