The CHAMP module on Falls provides instruction on teaching physicians about preventing falls in the hospital for older adult patients.  Learners will become able to describe falls as a type of geriatric syndrome, name formal and informal restraints, understand the relationship between restraints and falls, administer and teach others the "Get up and go" test, name preventative actions to avoid falls in the hospital, and follow up appropriately after a fall at discharge.  Teaching materials include a 30 minute slide presentation, bedside teaching trigger, references and a session evaluation form.
